Turmeric, Ginger + Sea Salt Pepitas

These delicious crisp snacks are the perfect protein daytime fuel snack. High in Zinc, Magnesium, Maganese, beneficial plant-based Omega 3 (ALA) and rich in the Amino acid Tryptophan.

Tryptophan is converted in our body to Serotonin, which is then converted into Melatonin, making these seeds a great night time snack.

 

Ingredients:

 

·      2 cups Pumpkin seeds (Pepitas)

·      2 tbsp coconut oil (melted)

·      1 tsp sea salt (I like Australian pink lake) 

·      1 heaped tsp turmeric powder

·      1 heaped tsp ginger powder 

 

·      Adjust seasoning to your preferred palate 

 

 

Method:

 

1)    Preheat oven to 180C (160C fan-forced)

2)    Add ingredients into a medium bowl and mix to combine

3)    Place seeds on a lined baking tray

4)    Place in oven for 15-20mins until crispy

5)    Store in an airtight tight container for the week
